Our wide range of services are designed to meet the diverse needs of our community, from early childhood to elder care. Our team of compassionate professionals are dedicated to promoting well-being and enhancing the quality of life for everyone we serve.  Our Mission Statement

At Ardcomm we provide high quality care and support services to improve the health and well-being of people in the community. Our person-centered and compassionate approach ensures services are fit for purpose and that our service users receive the standards of care to which they are entitled. We also foster a safe and supportive environment for our staff that encourages open communication and ongoing learning so they can maximise their potential to be the best they can be.

Ardcomm - Dr Michelle Templeton

Dr Michelle Templeton

Chief Executive Officer

Michelle has a background in health psychology and human rights, specializing in children’s rights, ethics, and participatory methodologies. She has worked with INGOs, NI Government, the Council of Europe, the European Commission, and the United Nations to promote social inclusion. She has helped develop governance structures and sustainable policies and has received awards for her work with Queen’s University Belfast.

Leanne Magill

Finance Manager

Leanne joined Ardcomm as a volunteer in 2005 before transitioning to a work placement scheme, completing NVQ Levels 2 & 3. She initially worked on the Good Morning West Belfast pilot programme, securing a permanent contract when funding was approved. She later moved into Administration and is now Finance Manager.

Elaine began as a care worker for children with complex medical needs and progressed to Care Team Leader. She has completed Level 2, 3, and 5 in Health and Social Care. Passionate about making a difference, she finds fulfillment in supporting those in need.

Lisa Scullion

Family Time Team Leader

Lisa completed a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care in 2011 before joining Ardcomm as a Family Time Support Worker in 2015. She progressed to Senior Family Time Worker while completing a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services in 2019. She is now a Team Leader in the Family Time Support team.

David McAllister

Residential Deputy Manager

David has been a social worker since qualifying from, Queen’s University in 2018. Since then, he has worked exclusively in the field of residential care for looked after children from ages 5-18 years old. David is one of the resident trainers in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and is focused on ensuring that staff are well equipped to support all children in our care. David has a post graduate diploma from Queen’s University in Human Rights Law and shares the organisation’s focus on ensuring children’s rights are accessible across voluntary and statutory services.

Nina graduated from John Moores University, Liverpool, in 2015 with a 2:1 in Health and Social Care. Since joining Ardcomm, she has progressed from Family Contact Support Worker to Senior Contact Worker and, since 2018, Team Leader of the Contact Service.

Ardcomm - Margaret Barnes

Margaret Barnes

Family Support Worker

Margaret joined Ardcomm in 2021 as a Family Time Support Worker before transitioning to the Family Support Team. She works with families in their homes, supporting them and advocating on their behalf. She has a Psychology degree (2:1) from Queen’s University Belfast and has volunteered as a Youth Worker and Mental Health Facilitator.

I began my career in Ardcomm in domiciliary care administration, developing excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills while supporting both staff and service users. I later expanded my experience through reception and administrative work. In 2026, I moved into the role of Project Support Worker for the Elders Forum, where I support projects and activities that help older people stay connected, informed, and engaged within their community.

Anna Foster

Family Intervention Worker

Anna studied Health and Social Care at GCSE and A-Level, leading to volunteer work with young people and vulnerable adults. She graduated in 2021 with a 2:1 in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Ulster University. Joining Ardcomm in 2022 as a Family Time Support Worker, she also provided outreach and school transport support. In December 2023, she became Team Leader of the Family Time Team while pursuing a Master’s in Youth Justice at QUB. Anna is now supporting families in her role of Family Intervention Worker.

Katie is a dedicated Family Time Support Worker at ArdComm since August 2023. With a degree in Early Years, she brings a strong foundation in child development and a passion for supporting families. Katie is committed to creating positive and meaningful experiences for children and families, ensuring their well-being and growth. Katie’s background allows her to offer compassionate, individualised support, helping families thrive through personalised support and care.

Domiliary Care and
Telephone Support Worker

Joe joined Ardcomm in 2015 as a Team Leader in the Afterschools Daycare service before transitioning to the Domiciliary Care Team and the Good Morning West Belfast Telephone Support Service. He has gained valuable experience across these roles, providing essential support to individuals within the community.

Domiciliary Care Assistant

Christina joined Ardmonagh as a Care Assistant in August 2019. She finds providing care incredibly rewarding, knowing she makes a difference in people’s lives every day. She treats all service users like family, building strong relationships with them. With a love for singing and dancing, she brings joy and positivity to their homes, always aiming to brighten their day.

Ardcomm - Martin Rogers

Martin Rogers

Chair Person

With over 30 years in retail management, primarily in Homewares, the Martin has worked across England and Ireland, gaining insight into regional consumer trends. After serving on the board for several years, Martin became Chairperson in 2022. Martin takes pride in Ardcomm’s growth from its humble beginnings to a multifunctional service provider and look forward to its continued evolution.

Ardcomm - Gerry Marshall

Dr Gerry Marshall

Trustee

Dr. Gerry is a qualified social worker who began working with young people in residential care in 1991. He has held senior roles in children’s services, including team leader and inspector with the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority. In 2022, he completed a PhD on quality care and identity in residential childcare. Since 2017, he has lectured in social work at Queen’s University Belfast and joined Ardcomm’s board in 2023.

Ardcomm - Anthony Kerr

Caoimhin Mac Giolla Mhin

Trustee

Caoimhín has been involved in Community Development projects and since leaving University in 1997 he has been employed in the sector driving and managing such projects in West Belfast. Caoimhín spent a while working in Belfast City Council on Economic Initiatives before being elected as a Sinn Féin Councillor for West Belfast. He spent six years adding to his experience in an elected capacity. He was employed by An Ciste Infheistíochta Gaeilge as their CEO having a central role in the huge growth of new Irish language community capital projects throughout the North.

Ardcomm - Anthony Kerr

Anthony Kerr

Anthony has 30 years of experience in the housing sector and is the Chief Executive of Newington Housing Association. He has been in a senior leadership role since 2010 and serves on the boards of various organizations, including Ardmonagh Family Centre and Support Communities NI. He has previously held board positions with major social housing providers in Ireland.

Ardcomm - Gerry Marshall

Bernadette Donaghy

Trustee

With over 30 years in community development, Bernadette has dedicated her career to supporting families and individuals. She founded the Rainbow Parenting Group, worked with Lifestart to support early childhood development, and coordinated the Incredible Years program at Colin Neighbourhood Partnership. Bernadette has held leadership roles, including Operations Manager at Footprints Women’s Centre, and now chairs the Board of Governors at St. Therese Nursery.

Dr Susan Lagdon

Trustee

Dr Susan Lagdon is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology (Mental Health) at Ulster University and a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. She also serves as Co-Chair of the Tertiary Education Subcommittee on Violence Against Women and Girls.

Her work employs a range of mixed-methods approaches, with a strong commitment to participatory research and meaningful stakeholder engagement to inform and guide the research process.

She is deeply committed to translating research into practice to improve public health outcomes, ensuring that evidence meaningfully benefits communities and the individuals within them
